So, if you’ve found yourself on this page, you probably want to know a little more about us – and honestly, we can’t blame you. We’re pretty fabulous humans… just a tiny bit chaotic too (the best people usually are, right?!).
We’re Sue & Holly, the mother and daughter duo behind Holly Boo – basically the same person (and definitely the same laugh!), although Sue is slightly older… and insists she’s wiser. We share a huge love for creativity, colour, interiors, beautiful spaces and bringing ideas to life – especially when weddings and events are involved.
Before Holly Boo began in 2016, Sue spent years working as an office manager whilst organising events, parties and fundraising evenings alongside her day job. She always had a creative eye and loved transforming spaces, but could never quite find the kind of styling and decor she truly connected with. Eventually, that passion became Holly Boo Events – and not long after, Holly joined the business too.
Since then, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind (including the tiny pandemic hiccup in the middle!). We’ve styled hundreds of weddings and events across the South West and beyond, worked with some incredible venues and clients, decorated events for the likes of Thomas Sabo & Porsche… and even had the opportunity to provide decor for a Gok Wan fashion show – which still feels pretty surreal!
What we love most is helping people create a day that feels personal, exciting and completely their own. Whether your wedding or event is modern, rustic, colourful, elegant or completely out of the box, we’re here to help bring your ideas to life with decor that feels thoughtful, beautiful and true to your vibe. We’re also always happy to help with ideas, budgeting and those “I have no idea where to start” moments.
Sometimes all it takes is a chat over coffee (read: wine) and suddenly everything starts coming together. Although we’re based in Bristol and mainly cover the South West, we’ll happily travel far and wide – especially if there’s a McDonald’s or Thatchers waiting for us after!
